Tom Robertson Shoots, Brendan Halpin Runs

Tom Robertson loves both photography and riding bikes. Being a longtime local rider in Missoula, he’s become a staple figure in the riding and endurance sports scene.  He shoots all of the local studs in town including Matt Shryock, Linsey Corbin, Jen Luebke, Sam Schultz and many more.  Tom and Brendan recently went out for an evening in the hills of Missoula and these are a few images that they came back with.

Tom has taken pictures for The Cycling House for over 3 years now and his photos have become an integral part of our website.

Andy Schultz Gets High in Colorado

After finishing up with a solid 11th place at the US Mountain Bike National Championships in the Short Track, Andy Schultz took a break from the regimented training program and professional racing schedule to hike the epic mountains in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.

A Day In The Life Of a Few Missoula, MT Triathletes (and 2 non-triathletes)

On Tuesday, professional triathlete and local Missoulian, Linsey Corbin organized a group of triathletes and two non-triathletes (Owen and Tom Robertson) for a fun-filled day of triathlon bliss. The group started the day off bright and early in the Clark Fork River with a 1.5 hour up-stream “open water” swim (Owen didn’t get the memo on this workout so he was still sleeping). Tom Robertson photographed.

Casual Friday

Here at The Cycling House, we know how exciting it is when the last day of the week rolls around and you can finally skip the suit and tie and slip into the clothes that you want to wear. This Friday forego the cycling kit or hawaiian shirt and sport one of the new TCH t-shirts.  Choose from the trendy new off-center cactus-rider combo or the retro Endless Summer shirt here.  Below are some folks that love casual Friday.

The Endless Summer for Riders

Andy Schultz of the Kenda-Felt Team tried to take out a tree with his head at the Firecracker 50. We are pretty sure the tree is slowly dying. This didn't stop Andy from casually enjoying the post race festivities in his TCH shirt.

Although Moab, UT had the upper hand on Anya for a split second, she still smiles in her TCH shirt.

Moab – Durango – Breckenridge Firecracker 50 – Sam 2nd place!

The Cycling House Rocky Mountain Road Trip is underway and it’s been a great trip so far. The first stop was Moab, UT for an epic ride from the top of the La Sals at 11,000+ feet down to the Colorado River. The next stop was Durango, CO with Andy Schultz playing tour guide.

The La Sal mountains just outside of Moab, UT are absolutely amazing.

We are currently in Breckenridge, CO preparing to cheer at the Firecracker 50. This race is the US Marathon National Championship so there is quite a bit on the line here.  Sam Schultz is flying right now and will be gunning for the win. Also, Andy Schultz was 2nd at this race two years ago so he knows how to race this course.  There is a solid MT crew racing this event which includes a stacked Hammer Nutrition team: Dustin Phillips, Phil Grove and Matt Butterfield. MT Cyclocross represented by Shaun Radley.
