CAMP

France

July 17th-24th, 2011
July 24th-29th, 2011

In July, 2011 we’ll be moving into an incredibly nice chateau in the French Alps just south of Grenoble. The house will be a short distance from The Tour route and we’ll have unbelievable riding waiting for you right out the door.

The wonderful 17th century chateau that will be our home base

The Cycling House France will offer fully supported rides and we’ll have a local guide or two there to make sure you get the best of what the French Alps has to offer. We’ll ride the epic climbs and cruise the expansive valleys. You’ll also get the once in a lifetime chance to see Le Tour de France in person, including L’Alpe d’Huez and the final decisive individual time trail in Grenoble.

Col du Galibier- Stage 17

The Individual Time Trail will be the final deciding stage after the Alps

We don’t plan to cook every meal like we’ve done with our camps in Arizona and California as we’re assuming you’ll want to explore some of the local fare. We’ll be providing a healthy breakfast every morning and we plan on providing three dinners during the camp. We’ll be a short distance from restaurants and markets, plus we’ll have an extra kitchen if you want to put together a meal with some of the local ingredients. We’ll have hardy snacks waiting for you after the rides.

Comfy and spacious bedrooms

Easy living in the Alps

The Cycling House will be open to guests for 14 days – We’ll be offering a week long “Chasing le Tour” camp and we’ll also be open the week following if you want to stay longer or come for a few days to ride after the tour has passed. You can come for the duration, or for a couple nights. We want you there no matter what your schedule.
