The Cycling House is happy to introduce our first running camp. We’ve brought on two experts in Mike Wolfe and Mike Foote. These guys are two of the best endurance runners in North America. Both are North Face Athletes and Missoulians. The fellas will be at camp to share their knowledge and hang out with fellow runners. You do not have to be an elite athlete to attend. We want to welcome folks who love running and have an interest in improving.

Details:

$1695 * Tucson, AZ * November 12th – 17th, 2013 – 6 days, 5 nights

- Run once to twice daily on superb Tucson trails

- We will have at least one long run day of single 25-30 mile run.

- Hill running work

- Running downhills

Cycling House Named #1 HED Wheels Dealer Worldwide!

The Cycling House was recently named the #1 HED dealer worldwide! As stoked as we are to be recognized for this achievement, we can’t necessarily take all the credit for it. If HED hadn’t been building such a great product as well as stand behind what they sell and provide a customer service that goes above and beyond (every time) all of these years, it would have never worked out.

We’ve worked with the great folks at HED for nearly 9 years and the synergy that’s spun out of the relationship has been amazing for our company. After we started riding their wheels and experienced the superior difference between HED wheels and their competition we decided to only carry HED wheels on our online store as well as demo at our Cycling camps (aside from powertap units).

Yes, we believe that HED wheels are the best road cycling and triathlon wheel on the market but that’s only part of the equation. HED’s customer service and attention to detail is second to non. If you have an issue or question about your wheel, you can call these guys and they’ll do whatever it takes to take care of you. There’s also a good chance that you’re going to speak directly with the guy or gal that was a part of building your wheel. Now days in the commerce world it’s nearly impossible to find a contact number or email address so being able to talk to a real human being that knows their stuff is pretty sweet.

Cycling House Scholarship Program

We’re excited to announce the new Cycling House scholarship program. We want to provide an opportunity to motivated cyclists and triathletes to take part in our training camp even if they don’t necessarily have the means.

Two (2) scholarship recipients will receive:

- Free spot at one of our winter training camps

- Free roundtrip plane ticket from the recipients nearest regional/intl. airport to Tucson (TUS)

- Free bike rental (Cannondale SuperSix Carbon Bike w/ HED wheels)

We consider this a valuable opportunity so we take the entries seriously. This summer will be our first Tour de Montana. The Cycling House is branching out to a looped tour with tent camping. It’s an experience through Western Montana that you will never forget. Every overnight has river or lake soaking possibilities. Chef Drew will be in rare form taking his show on the road. We’ll pass through 6 different mountain ranges.

There are 5 mountain passes sprinkled along the route. We will do a daily KOM and QOM jersey.

Mark your calendars, we’re heading back to Crested Butte, CO for our 2nd annual high alpine mountain bike camp. We knew within a few hours of our camp starting last year that we’d be back to this place for years to come. We liked camp so much that we’ve added a second camp!

The trail system in Crested Butte is unreal. Singletrack spiderwebs in all directions- reaching altitudes of over 12,000 feet as it twists through aspen groves, rises over meadows of wildflowers and descends alpine ridge lines.

The Cycling House Crested Butte Mountain Bike Camp

* We are running two camps in Crested Butte in 2013. The primary dates are September 9th-15th. We’ve also added a camp on September 17th-23rd and that camp will happen as long as we have an 8 rider minimum. For the most part, the times of easily flying with a bike are over. With several airlines charging upwards of $200 each direction for a bike, it can easily double your airfare in some cases. We wanted to offer our riders the option of not having to deal with the stress and expense of traveling with a bike (or having it shipped ahead of time for that matter).

If you’ve been to a Cycling House camp over the past 2 years then you’ve met Jura. Jura is our workhorse espresso machine and has become an integral part of The Cycling House team. She’s usually working late, after most have gone to bed and is always the first (or second) one up every morning. We checked out the input numbers that Jura has been keeping track of over the past 21 months and this is what we found.
