The weather in Tucson, AZ is pretty amazing in the wintertime. That being said, we can still get some unexpected cold snaps, rain or even some snow flurries. It’s always a good idea to be prepared so we suggest bringing down a little more cycling gear then you expect to actually use. The top of Mt. Lemmon can be especially cold so bring some gear for the descent.

Cold weather riding gear

    • Arm, leg, and knee warmers
    • Vest, Cap, beanie, full finger gloves
    • Shoe covers (if you have them)

Cycling Necessities

    • Multiple cycling kits (shorts/bibs and jersey)
    • Helmet and shoes
    • Socks
    • Sunglasses
    • A couple water bottles
    • If you plan on renting a bike then bring your pedals, shoes for sure and possibly your bike saddle if you feel that you won’t get along with an unknown saddle
    • Anything else you can’t live without while on the bike
    • Although we provide full ride support, it’s never a bad idea to bring along a couple tubes and pump

  • Swimsuit
  • Running/hiking shoes and shorts
  • Goggles
  • Track bag to carry your gear to and from the pool or extra clothes when we finish a ride in town and eat lunch
